Protomatrix is an advanced matrix router breadboard designed for reproducible prototyping of electronic circuits. Protomatrix breadboard has a build-in matrix router that allows you to make connections without use of jumper wires. Each matrix crosspoint is implemented as a solder jumper that can be closed by applying a small amount of solder.
You may have noticed an abscence of the traditional power rails in this breadboard. This is because you are free to designate any Y-rows as power rails. My usual choice is Y30 and Y29 for + and - power.
NOTE: Solder jumper shape was updated to more effective shape (image is of early prototype)

Protoroute is a free and open-source router and planning software that works with any size protomatrix board. It can run both in browser and as a desktop application. Simply click and drag to connect columns, relocate nets to different rows by dragging. Nets can be color coded as well as named. Columns can have additional annotations.
